Biography

A Little Peeps About Me

Carol is a registered and certified Clinical Psychologist with the expertise in managing children psychological and behavioral issues. She worked in private psychological centres, public hospitals and universities, where she gained experience conducting diagnostic intakes, assessments, diagnoses and treatments for a diverse range of clients including children, adolescents, students, chronic pain patients and the geriatric population.

Carol also has an extensive experience working with children with neurodiverse conditions (e.g. ADHD, Autism, learning disabilities). She practices evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy and Art Therapy. Additionally, she applies Sandtray and Figurines techniques in her therapy sessions in order create a safe environment, allowing clients to express their emotions that they find difficult to put into words. She is also trained in hypnosis. She utilizes relaxation techniques to help clients cope better with anxiety, depression, stress and pain. Her work with chronic pain patients has deepened her understanding of the relationship between the experience of pain and various psychological factors, enhancing her ability to identify mental health issues.

She is currently working as a Clinical Psychologist in various private sectors and as a Personal Learning Assistant at Garden International School. With her extensive and inspiring clinical and educational experience, she has recently established an educational centre called “AfterSchool” featuring an outstanding TILLSS program that aims to facilitate children’s language literacy and social skills by incorporating technology and dynamic teaching strategies.

Carol believes that her empathetic and compassionate approach sets her apart as a Clinical Psychologist and an Educator. She firmly adheres to the saying, “There is a solution to every problem.” By establishing a strong therapeutic alliance with children and their families, and building trust and rapport, she fosters and supports their personal growth and well-being.
